Ashley Miller is Senior Tax Accountant at Halt, Buzas & Powell specializing in compliance experience. Her expertise lies in multi-state apportionment, sale of businesses and changes of ownership for complex individual and pass-through tax reporting. By understanding her clients’ unique individual and business needs along with their future goals, she is able to implement tax planning strategies identifying valuable savings opportunities.
Ashley completed her Masters in Accountancy from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, Massachusetts in 2015 before relocating to the District of Columbia. When she’s not helping clients with their tax needs, she enjoys running charity 5K races and taking yoga classes at her gym.

Stephen Davis is a Tax Manager at Halt, Buzas & Powell, providing a wealth of tax understanding that’s both broad and deep to support his clients’ financial goals. With over 7 years of experience in individual, partnership, trust and corporate tax, as well as other disciplines of public accounting, he has a way of tailoring complex tax strategies so neatly that they almost seem simple to the clients who reap their benefits. From tax planning to compliance, Stephen makes taxes not just manageable but understandable for individuals, trusts and businesses. His specialties include family wealth transfer and multi-state taxation issues.
Stephen graduated with cum laude honors from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a Bachelor of Accounting before heading to George Washington University, where he completed a Masters in Accountancy. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA and likes to volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and the MS Society.
